Madina Toure serves as the Marketing and Communications Director for Guineans Succeeding in America. She is currently the New York City Education Reporter at POLITICO. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French at Barnard College and her master’s degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. She previously covered City Hall for the Observer and general news in northern Queens neighborhoods for the TimesLedger Newspapers. She has had internships in public relations, publishing, and communications. Outside of work, Madina enjoys taking walks in parks, exploring the city, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
